DJ Radio Dubai ("DJ Radio Dubai", "we", "us", "our") operates the website www.djradio.ae and the associated online radio stream and mobile application.

2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to:

  • the website www.djradio.ae

  • the DJ Radio Dubai audio stream, wherever it is embedded or listed

  • the DJ Radio Dubai mobile application

  • our newsletter and any email we send you

  • our official social media profiles, to the extent we control the data

It does not apply to third-party platforms that carry our stream (for example RadioKing, radio.de, or app stores). Those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.


3. What data we collect

3.2 Data collected automatically
When you visit the website or start the stream, the following is processed:

  • IP address (shortened or anonymised where technically possible)

  • date and time of access

  • pages visited, referring URL

  • browser type and version, operating system, device type

  • approximate location derived from IP (country / city level)

  • stream session data: start time, duration, listening device, bitrate selected

This data is generated by our hosting provider and our streaming provider and is used for technical operation, security, and aggregated audience statistics.


3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site and the player to function. These cannot be switched off.

  • Functional cookies — remember your preferences, for example player volume or language.

  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how many people visit and which pages and shows they use.

  • Marketing cookies — only set if you consent, for example when we run a campaign or embed social media content.

You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website, or by deleting cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the player from working.


4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) or comparable law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

6. International data transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or the UAE, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or your explicit consent.


7. How long we keep data

  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not contact you again.

  • Contact enquiries: up to 24 months after the matter is closed.

  • Submissions (mixes, demos): up to 12 months if not selected; for the duration of the collaboration plus 5 years if selected.

  • Server and stream logs: typically 30 to 90 days, unless needed for security investigation.

  • Aggregated, anonymised statistics: indefinitely — these no longer identify you.

8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you

  • rectify inaccurate or incomplete data

  • erase your data ("right to be forgotten")

  • restrict or object to processing

  • data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

9. Newsletter
We send our newsletter only after you have subscribed. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. We may measure whether emails are opened and which links are clicked, in order to improve what we send. If you do not want this, simply unsubscribe.


10. Children
DJ Radio Dubai is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.


11. Security
We use TLS encryption for all traffic to and from the website, access controls on our administrative accounts, and providers who maintain recognised security standards. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and review our measures regularly.


12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The current version is always published at www.djradio.ae with the date of the last update. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email where appropriate.
